Tonight was the season finale for Kendra on E!. I love this show and really cannot wait for its return. It is so sweet to see Kendra and Hank truly in love!
This week, Kendra's very adorable preggy belly was visible! Hank was taping up boxes, and they were packing up to leave their house in California for football season in Philadelphia. Eddie, Kendra's new assistant, came to the rescue with Ranch dressing! The clip of Maranie was shown and she was being hateful to Kendra, acting like she had no clue she shouldn't go hiking when Kendra needed her to be there to help with the dinner party she had planned. Eddie made Kendra very happy by bringing home one of those giant pickles from the grocery store! Kendra definitely seemed to be craving pickles and sugar. Hank felt the baby kick for the first time earlier on the day the beginning of this episode was taped. Hank proudly announced that he felt the baby kick 5 times!
Bridgette showed up with homemade cupcakes and said, "Hi, Mrs. Baskett." *Bridgette is so fun!* Bridgette was telling Kendra she is so domesticated now. Kendra and Hank were in Amarillo, Texas, in an airport when they found out she was pregnant! Hank told his parents during that trip home. His parents seemed to take the news well, even though Kendra and Hank were nervous about telling them!
There were flashbacks of Hugh, Bridgette, and Kendra planning the wedding. They showed Johnny Makeup from the bridal shower again and he was being funny as always! Kendra and Hank honeymooned in St. Lucia with no phone, or TV, for 9 days! They went snorkeling. Kendra was feeding the birds during a meal on her honeymoon, and looked so happy! They said they think the baby is a boy. Hank said Kendra is going to be a little "Mama Bear," because he sees how good she is with her dogs, Rascal and Martini.
Kendra told the story about the show starting, and how it was originally supposed to be her in a house by herself, partying with girls. Then, she got engaged, and it took Hank a good two weeks to think about agreeing to doing a reality show. Kendra's first day in the new house, she had a mini-crisis because she didn't have a can opener. The dog needed to eat, and she was trying so hard to get the can of dog food open! The day Kendra had her girl's night in Vegas, Hank was at home with Johnny Makeup, who said American Apparel was his Dad's company (I didn't know that!).
Hank said you have to see the Grand Canyon in person, that pictures do it no justice. Kendra made her shot a charity basketball game, and she interrupted Hank to tell him she has skills in basketball. Hank said she fooled him during practice for that game. They loved Hef hanging up on Hank that time when he thought it was a prank call. Hank said his Dad was talkative (his Dad was so sweet on camera with his Mom!). Kendra was talking about the Reality Show Curse, and she and Hank agreed that you shouldn't get caught up on it and filming the show can be fun. They made it clear that Hank is still a football player, and the E! show is Kendra's thing. Kendra said she was a little mad at Too Short because he didn't come to the wedding, but she LOVES the job he did on the theme song for Kendra, that he is a true artist and a real "OG" (For those even whiter than me, "original gangster"). Hank seemed impressed with Too Short's skills on the Kendra theme song.
Next, they showed Kendra's wedding film of her shoving cake into Hank's face. Kendra is excited to see the snow on the East Coast. Kendra said she was ready for change, but is a little sad to leave her family in California. The baby is due Christmas Day! Bridgette felt the baby kick and Hank said, "That was my kick!" Then, Hank felt the baby kick and made a really happy, excited face! Hank said Bridgette was the first person besides them to feel the baby kick, and Bridgette did her evil laugh "Muahahhahaa."
I can't wait until next season! Congratulations, Baskett Family!
